Huggies® Little Swimmers® Fitness Expert

Swimming with your little one is not only a great way to bond
with your baby, but is also a good form of exercise and can help
you get your body back in shape. Huggies® Little Swimmers®
has joined forces with Charlene Hutsebaut, a leading expert in pre
and post pregnancy fitness to give you the inside knowledge of how
baby swimming can make you not only feel great but help your shape
too!
Why Baby Swimming?
One of the most important reasons for exercising after having a
baby is that it can help your pelvis heal back to its pre-birth
position. It's also a great way to help tone up key muscle
groups.
To get the most out of exercising in the water, make sure the
movements are done slowly and in a controlled way so that your baby
is comfortable. These exercises should be done progressively. It's
also a good idea for you to attend a baby swimming class so that
you know how to hold your baby in the water and perform the
movements and techniques safely.
When your baby is small and getting used to the water you can
practice just a few of these exercises to get started. Once
your baby is used to the water you can add on more repetitions of
each exercise. The beauty of this progression process is that your
baby will naturally be gaining weight as you progress over the
weeks and months, therefore increasing your strength as you are
lifting a slightly heavier beautiful baby each week.
