Dads - the perfect opportunity to bond with your little
one
Look around the pool on your next weekend visit and you'll see
many dads proudly splashing around with their kids. Sunday morning
trips to the swimming pool with dad have become something of a
tradition in many households - a tradition that continues well
beyond baby learning to swim.
With so many of the day to day child care responsibilities
usually lying with mum, this is one area that dads can claim as
their own. Baby swimming is fun, physical and a wonderful way to
enhance the bond between parents and children, so it's the perfect
way for dads to spend some extra special time with their little
ones, as well as earning extra brownie points by giving mum a well
deserved break!
Swimming with baby is more than simply a relaxing and enjoyable
activity; it boosts confidence, builds fitness and co-ordination
and teaches children a vital life skill that stays with them
forever. Like teaching them how to ride their first bike, it's a
skill fathers can feel proud to have passed on to their
children.
